For flotation studies on barite ore, this thesis combined forward and reverse flotation using a combination of maize starch and aluminum sulfate as a depressant. The flotation concentrates BaSO 4 grade was 92.18%, and the recovery was 91.38%, which was 7.51% higher than that with a single CS acting as a depressant.

2025622· The results demonstrated that GG exerted a pronounced depressing effect on the barite flotation, while exhibiting minimal impact on the fluorite flotation. These findings highlight the potential of GG as an effective and environmentally friendly depressant for the flotation separation of fluorite and barite.
202425· This study presents a predictive geometallurgical model for the Ouansimi copper deposit in Morocco, focusing on the flotation of mixed copper ores. The deposit was divided into two geometallurgical domains (GMD) with distinct oxidation rates using K-means clustering. The principal component analysis-partial least squares regression method was applied to establish …
2024611· This article provides a systematic analysis of core copper flotation technologies, detailing processing strategies for single sulfide, polymetallic sulfide, and oxide-sulfide copper minerals, with in-depth explanations of process flow applicability, key parameters, and optimization methods, offering comprehensive technical guidance for copper ore beneficiation.
201668· This data on chemicals, and mixtures of chemicals, commonly known as reagents, is presented for the purpose of acquainting those interested in froth flotation with some of the more common reagents and their various uses. Flotation as a concentration process has been extensively used for a number of years. However, little is known of it as an exact …
2024126· The main beneficiation processes for barite are hand selection, gravity separation, magnetic separation, flotation, calcination purification, and leaching purification. The beneficiation of barite ore associated with sulfide ore usually uses flotation or a gravity separation-flotation combined process to recover barite after removing the sulfide ore.

202541· For example, flotation tailings from historical deposits have been studied for their residual metal content and physicochemical properties to determine recovery strategies. In Serbia, detailed characterizations of copper flotation tailings revealed opportunities for recovering valuable metals while addressing environmental risks.
This study aimed to find optimal models in a comparative framework to estimate the recovery and grade of barite concentrate obtained from the rougher flotation of the barite tailings. Therefore, firstly, the effect of four operating parameters (flotation time, pH, collector dosage, and depressant dosage) on the rougher flotation of the barite tailings containing 37.23% BaSO4 was …
202011· Ultrasound technology is widely applied in the flotation process. From the perspective of the theory of ultrasound, this article explains the effects and applications of ultrasound in the flotation process. To obtain a clear understanding of ultrasonic effects, we observe the phenomena of ultrasound using a high-speed camera and a CCD camera, and …

Introduction Sphalerite and chalcopyrite are widely ubiquitous as a source of zinc and copper metals respectively. The processing of ores containing copper and zinc is typically carried out by sequential flotation process. First, copper is floated by utilizing the superior floatability of copper and its ease for collector adsorption compared to zinc. However, past research has shown that
